Nuvola Lavazza, the architectural complex designed by Cino Zucchi and home to the Lavazza Group, celebrates its 5th anniversary by hosting the exhibition "Quarta Civitas" by artist Omar Hassan. The exhibition will be open to the public in the atrium of Nuvola Lavazza from Friday, June 9, to August 8.
The Lavazza Group, long committed to promoting the arts and supporting cultural hubs, combines a global vision with a deep connection to its local roots. It has chosen to host Omar Hassan’s exhibition for its resonance with the core concept underlying his artistic journey.
At the center of the exhibition is "Mappa di Torino, Quartieri", a work created by Hassan specifically for the Lavazza Group. This piece exemplifies the essence of Hassan’s approach, as he conceptualizes maps—of cities such as Milan, Berlin, Naples, Palermo, and now Turin—as cultural tools to intersect perspectives and experiences, strengthening the bond between art and place, individual and community.
Omar Hassan remarked:
"Finally, the presentation of the Mappa di Torino, which highlights the Aurora district as a symbol of efforts to revive the area through art and culture. It is an honor for me to see my works displayed at Nuvola Lavazza, and I thank the company for its commitment to supporting art and culture, both locally and internationally. I am thrilled to present my works in a city like Turin, a long-standing symbol of modern art and now also a beacon for contemporary art."
The Quarta Civitas exhibition consists of five works installed in the atrium of Nuvola Lavazza, a shared space surrounded by the company’s offices, the Lavazza Museum, and the Piazza Verde outside Nuvola, which connects the headquarters to the Condividere restaurant, the Bistrot, and La Centrale, Lavazza’s event space. Together, they form a single, cohesive ecosystem where beauty, culture, and new ideas coexist harmoniously.
